Below is a series of some of my favourite images which constantly inspire me. Please hover on each one to find out more.
This is one of my favourite images. I love the fluidity and grace of the Ballerina's pose and the sense of energy emanating from her. This image is always in my mind when I'm designing, I aim to capture everything about this image in my jewellery.
I fell in love with the colour of the sea off the Cornish coast on my first visit there in 2016. I sat watching the balance of light blue, teal, turquoise, green and dark blue tones change and vary with the light for hours. It is quite simply one of natures treasures. One day I hope and create a piece inspired by this beautiful natural phenomena.
An old fashioned rose from my own little rose garden. They have such a beautiful orb like shape which unfurls into large, curled, frilly edged petals. Which change colour over time, transitioning through sunset pinks, corals and oranges. They smell amazing especially after it has rained and in early morning.
I have this image everywhere, in my studio, on my laptop, on my phone etc as it is so many things that inspire me all at once. The photo was taken my Sheldon Pettit in the incredible Crystal Caves in Iceland. I love how it looks like running water, waves and ice all at once. The texture and reflections are so beautiful.
The spectacular Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Skye in winter. The colours of a Skye sunset are incredible and vary with the seasons. The contrast between the kaleidoscope of colours and the rugged silhouette of the mountains is beautiful.
