Teacher : Glenn Chapman (The Goldsmithy)
Up until 2011, I was pretty much self taught - apart from one masterclass at Holts Academy, London. However one day, while wandering around a little town near home I came across 'The Goldsmithy' down a back street I hadn't walked down before. On the window there was a sign saying 'lessons given'. I am a great believer in destiny, so I popped in for a chat. Glenn is a fabulous teacher and Goldsmith (small worker), he is always very patient and explains things very well. I have learnt and am continuing to learn so much from this very skilled and lovely man. Popping in for a chat was one of the best decisions I've made.
Photography : Imagem Photography
99% of the photographs on September Rose are taken by Imagem. (The exceptions being some of my bespoke work). She has a wonderful eye for detail and is an absolute pleasure to work with. Imagem always captures the essence of my designs in their best light. I think her photographs speak volumes about her amazing talent.
Website development : Neil Johnson (Armadillo)
Neil must have the patience of a saint to be able to put up with all my requests and my perfectionism. There is pretty much nothing this guy can't do when it comes to website coding and development. I'm sure the September Rose website would be a mere shadow of itself without all Neil's hardwork in the land of code.
Leather jewellery box internals : Selina Cheong
I met Selina at EcoLuxe London in early 2012. She designs and hand makes the most beautiful handbags and accessories in ethically sourced vegetable tanned leather and lined with gorgeous eco ethical materials. Selina is currently working on the prototype for my jewellery box interals and I can't wait to see them - she is so much fun to work with and creates really beautiful things.
